From the product description by Beans Connected: The coffee beans are cultivated through natural farming methods in the Ywangan region of Myanmar, at altitudes ranging from 1,190m to 1,805m. The women of the Danu ethnic group, known for their "Amaiyar Coffee" and their commitment to "escaping from domination" and "women's empowerment and independence," have meticulously hand-sorted, processed, and sun-dried the beans. This has earned them recognition as specialty coffee, a designation given to only 5% of the world's coffee beans.
The beans, imbued with the spirit of the Danu people, are directly sourced from the origin through fair trade, and then roasted and processed by users of Stride Club, a continuous support facility for people with disabilities in Shibuya Ward.
